EVERYBODY BUMBO!

Hi Everyone!

Today Mommy pulled out my old Bumbo chair. It's a chair I used a lot when I was a little baby because it helped me to sit up before I could do it on my own. I haven't used it in a while but now I think I like it again. It's pretty comfy.

So here's a picture of me in my Bumbo on March 7th, 2006, and then one from today (I know I look like I'm enjoying my Bumbo a little TOO much but I swear, I'm wearing a diaper)

Look how big I am now! (not much more hair, though... what's that about?)
Here are a few more pics of me in the Bumbo... Ah I remember the early days in the Bumbo when I had time just to sit and relax. Now life's so hectic. I have to schedule appointments in my PDA... So many people calling for advice...
Not to mention the stretching... It's all fairly exhausting.

Here's a picture of me and Mommy early this morning while Daddy was still sleeping. She and I had already had a full day by the time Daddy got up at 9:30.

Then this afternoon we went to visit Nana. She and Mommy talked business while Daddy and I played and ate Nana's yummy muffins.

*yawn* Well, I'm off to bed. I need to rest up because I'm going for a record of waking up Mommy and Daddy as many times as I possibly can while they're trying to sleep at night. It's hilarious because they thought that as I got older I'd forget how fun it is to get up in the middle of the night but what can I say? I find Mommy & Daddy bed-head amusing.

love,

Jules

Bye-Bye Daddy!

Very early this morning Daddy left to go to Montreal on business (I hope "on business" isn't like "on horseback" or anything cuz I would want Daddy to know that there are planes and trains and things that are much faster). He's the best daddy ever and so as a tribute to him here's a picture of us from the other day. He's reading me a story which is one of my favourite things. I miss you Daddy!

This morning on the way into the city the weather looked like... this...

which made the drive long and boring so I decided to do.... this.
Anyway, it was an interesting day because we didn't go straight to Nathan's house this morning. Mommy and I met up with Nana and then Nana and I played while mommy did an "EEG". I'm not 100% sure what that means but after careful thought I've decided that I think it stands for "Early Easter Gift". I'll let you know over the next few weeks how that theory pans out.

Okay, well, I gotta go but see you soon!

Hi everybody! Please excuse the formatting issues today. I'm still learning to blog and... well... 14 months ago I was a fetus, so it may take me a little longer than some.
So it was another typical day. Here I am on my way to Nathan's house this morning.
It felt like one of those days when you just want to rip off your socks and chew on your feet. So I went with it.

It was a beautiful day so we went out for a long walk and we didn't even need snowpants! Then Nathan and I played as usual. It was fun. We played with the blocks and with some leggos...

...then I innocently moved on to the plastic boat while Nathan looked on with increasing interest...

when suddenly.... Nathan climbed in too!

I was like, "whoa, dude. This plastic boat ain't big enough for the both of us..."

Mommy made us Korean food for lunch. It was yummy and Nathan liked it too even though he's not half Korean like me. Rather than eating in our chairs, though, we prefer when mommy lets us eat rice crackers while we work the room. It's called "networking". So far I only have mommy and Nathan in my network.

Daddy's not the only one with cool hair. At dinner I managed to turn everyday yoghurt into styling gel. Soon all the big salons are going to be using it.

then it was bathtime. I like to grab the decorative rocks mommy keeps on top of the toilet. I taste them to make sure they haven't gone bad and then I throw them in the tub and go back for more!!

Anyway, that's all from me today *yawn*, I'm exhausted. I have to rest up so that I can wake mommy and daddy up at 3:00a.m. Ssshhhh - don't tell them. It'll be a surprise!

Hi there!

It's been a fun weekend. Yesterday we went to my cousin Matthew's 6th birthday party.

Seeing as there were going to be older kids for me to impress I wanted to do a little something special so, as you can see, daddy used some of his gel and gave me a pretty cool hairstyle.

"Hey, where did everybody go? I'm ready to party. I've got my balloon & everything..."

The party was at this really cool place with indoor slides and ladders and castles to climb in, etc. Here's my cousin Allyson showing off her climbing ability.

Sure, I could have done the whole "climbing/sliding" thing... but I thought the ladies at the party would be more impressed if they saw me cruising in my sleek new sports car.

We ate pizza for lunch and my cousin Samantha (who is only 6 months older than me) sat around the table with the big kids. I was very proud of her.

Then Matthew blew out the candles on his cake... He's getting up there in age so it was an emotional time.

When the party was over we went and picked up Nana and brought her home with us. Nana and I hung out all evening and she put me to bed and everything. It was really fun.
Then, this morning when I woke up mommy said I had a bit of a fever but I felt okay. Mommy thinks I'm getting a new tooth. Another one?! Why would anyone need more than four teeth?

I had breakfast with Nana because she'd slept over and we watched Coronation Street & played. Then mommy & daddy had some friends over for a new meal that's just been invented. It's called "brunch". I know it's new because I've been eating solid foods for over 6 whole months now and I've never had a brunch meal before. Anyway, my Uncle Mark & Tanta Janine, Auntie Janner and Auntie Kiley all came over and we sat around the table and ate this "brunch". Tanta Janine brought her HUGE doggie, Bella, with her and Auntie Kiley brought her little doggie, Bentley. It was fun to watch the dogs chase each other around my livingroom. I have to admit I was a little scared at first but then when they were in the backyard and I was watching them through the window I became very brave.

Unfortunately mommy's camera's batteries ran out so all she took was this one picture of me and daddy eating fruit.
We look pretty miserable but it was really fun... honestly! "Brunch" is a keeper.

Happy Belated V-Day!

Hi everyone! Happy belated Valentine's Day. Sadly, mommy, daddy and I have all caught a cold so we haven't had much time for blogging but I did want to check in and say that we had a nice Valentine's Day (there was a snow storm so mommy and I didn't go to Nathan's house. We stayed home and got to play in our jammies all day!). I got mommy some Valentine's chocolates that she tore into right away with breakfast. Then, around dinner time, mommy and daddy drank a lot of this red juice stuff that comes in a bottle with a cork. They seemed pretty anxious to get me into bed which is weird because what could they possibly do that wouldn't be more fun with me there? Anyhoo, we had a nice v-day snowed in at home and were back to business as usual yesterday.

I'll post some more pictures & updates soon.

Bye!

Tuesdays with Mommy

The last couple of days haven't been too exciting. Mommy and I have just hung out at Nathan's house (Nathan's my friend. My mommy looks after him because his mommy has to go to... what's it called again?... oh yeah, work).

This is Nathan waving hi to all my adoring fans (that's you guys)

Nathan has tons of toys. We like to take turns climbing in and out of this blue boat.

and my favourite is this cool rocking bike!

...the most exciting thing about today was that I performed my greatest trick to date. While mom was getting Nathan and me and snack, I climbed into this walker and got my feet into the leg-holes and everything. Mom came back into the room and couldn't believe her eyes. Sure I was facing the wrong way but I'd done it all by myself! I still haven't told her how I did it. It's my little secret.

Back to business as usual!

Well, after a couple of days of relaxing and getting over my vaccinations I returned to my usual busy pace! I woke up with Daddy this morning and he fed me breakfast so Mommy could "sleep in" whatever that means. Why anyone wouldn't want to wake up at 6:00a.m. is beyond me. That's when I'm feeling most refreshed!

I've found a GREAT new game. I figured out that if you push a button on this big water machine in the kitchen, an instant waterfall appears right before my eyes!

Then I drink out of the trough in the bottom and even blow bubbles! I've never been to Wild Water Kingdom but I'd imagine it must be something like this. SOOOOO fun!
Mommy tried sitting me on this new chair. It's kinda weird because it's got a hole right in the middle of it... isn't that where all the support is supposed to be?
Mommy and Daddy seemed to be watching me with anticipation as if they were waiting for something to happen. But all that happened was I played with a couple of toys and then got up and walked away. Weirdos.

Next I tried on these cool new shoes. They're a hand-me-down from my cousin Samantha. The only problem with them is they're a little sparkly and purple (oh, sorry, mommy says it's "lavendar"). Good thing I can pull them off because I have on my uber-manly camo sweatshirt.

Here I am on the way to Nana's house for Sunday dinner!

Nana fed me green beans...

...and raspberries! Yum.

Nana even let me pick my own raspberries right off the cheesecake she made!

Just chillin at home

Today mommy and I just hung out close to home. I had some vaccinations yesterday so mom thought we should probably take 'er easy. At the doctor's we found out that in 13 months I've grown from 53cm to 84cm and from just over 8lbs to 24lbs! Whew. No wonder I'm so tired.

Mommy & I did venture out this afternoon, though. We went to Winners to get Harmuny some winter boots (Harmuny's my Korean grandmother. She just moved to Toronto from L.A. so she's in need of some sensible footwear).

Speaking of boots, check me out.
I decided to go out for a walk in these bad-boys but then I changed my mind (it is February in Canada, you know, and I am only wearing a t-shirt. What am I, a yeti?)

I look good, though, yeah?
